This is what a big part of life is about #6

I red this beautiful story by Katharine Hepburn (1907-2003), actress and a spiritual woman and divine soul. I simply had to share it, because this paints a picture of the meaning of life: Loving, giving, sharing and caring for all life on this amazing Earth.

Katharine Hepburn

Her story takes place around 1922:

“Once when I was a teenager, my father and I were standing in line to buy tickets for the circus. Finally, there was only one other family between us and the ticket counter. This family made a big impression on me.

There were eight children, all probably under the age of 12. The way they were dressed, you could tell they didn't have a lot of money, but their clothes were neat and clean.

The children were well-behaved, all of them standing in line, two-by-two behind their parents, holding hands. They were excitedly jabbering about the clowns, animals, and all the acts they would be seeing that night. By their excitement you could sense they had never been to the circus before. It would be a highlight of their lives.

The father and mother were at the head of the pack standing proud as could be. The mother was holding her husband's hand, looking up at him as if to say, "You're my knight in shining armour." He was smiling and enjoying seeing his family happy.

The ticket lady asked the man how many tickets he wanted? He proudly responded, "I'd like to buy eight children's tickets and two adult tickets, so I can take my family to the circus." The ticket lady stated the price.

The man's wife let go of his hand, her head dropped, the man's lip began to quiver. Then he leaned a little closer and asked, "How much did you say?" The ticket lady again stated the price.

The man didn't have enough money. How was he supposed to turn and tell his eight kids that he didn't have enough money to take them to the circus?

Seeing what was going on, my dad reached into his pocket, pulled out a $20 bill, and then dropped it on the ground. (We were not wealthy in any sense of the word!) My father bent down, picked up the $20 bill, tapped the man on the shoulder and said, "Excuse me, sir, this fell out of your pocket."

The man understood what was going on. He wasn't begging for a handout but certainly appreciated the help in a desperate, heartbreaking and embarrassing situation.

He looked straight into my dad's eyes, took my dad's hand in both of his, squeezed tightly onto the $20 bill, and with his lip quivering and a tear streaming down his cheek, he replied; "Thank you, thank you, sir. This really means a lot to me and my family."

My father and I went back to our car and drove home. The $20 that my dad gave away is what we were going to buy our own tickets with.

Although we didn't get to see the circus that night, we both felt a joy inside us that was far greater than seeing the circus could ever provide.

That day I learnt the value to Give.

The Giver is bigger than the Receiver. If you want to be large, larger than life, learn to Give. Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get - only with what you are expecting to give - which is everything.

The importance of giving, blessing others can never be over emphasised because there's always joy in giving. Learn to make someone happy by acts of giving.”

Wauw - just wauw, what a beautiful story about caring and giving.

Lots have changed since then. The past 40-50 years, we have been programmed by society to focus more on our own needs and less on helping, loving and caring for others. Programmed to fear the unknown and fear fellow man and beast. Fears and anxiety are now a big part of the normal life. But this is not what we are about, not at all - we are still MAN KIND.

It made me think of the brilliant movie “Evan Almighty” where Evan face God frustrated about what God expects of him, and God replies:

Do One act of Random Kindness at a time - and then God fills a flower pot with water for a thirsty dog.

Is there a parable in this ? I think so:

Act of Random Kindness = ARK=ARC. Evan built an ARC in the movie - like Noah did in the Old Testamente. But what do the two stories about an Arc really tell us? Is the story in the Bible really about Noah, a story about God flooding the Earth or is this truly a parable (like the whole Bible is) for what Katharine Hepburns story tells us - to be loving, kind and care for fellow man and beast.

Are all animals and the ARC a way of telling us, that we should love and care for all life on Earth, including animals as we are the Pinnacle of Gods Creation and it is our job to protect and care for all life on Earth - and not murder animals and eating them?. I am sure that is exactly what we are told in these stories.

Funny how God in the movie helps a Dog. Reverse Dog and you get GOD. Coincidence? - probably not.

To change the world into a better place, we have to start with our selves - one small step at a time. Like Michael Jackson tell us in the song “Man in the Mirror”:

I'm gonna make a change for once in my life
It's gonna feel real good
Gonna make a difference, gonna make it right

As I turn up the collar on my favorite winter coat
This wind is blowin' my mind

I see the kids in the street with not enough to eat
Who am I to be blind, pretending not to see their needs?

A summer's disregard, a broken bottle top
And one man's soul
They follow each other on the wind, ya know
'Cause they got nowhere to go
That's why I want you to know

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change

I've been a victim of a selfish kinda love
It's time that I realize
There are some with no home
Not a nickel to loan
Could it be really me pretending that they're not alone?

A willow deeply scarred, somebody's broken heart
And a washed-out dream

They follow the pattern of the wind, ya see
'Cause they got no place to be
That's why I'm starting with me

Makes you reflect and perhaps plant a small seed in your brain - or simply push a larger button to wake up and search for the truths. So many Divine souls in the music and movie industries trying to nudge us to become better versions of ourselves. Show us what we truly are and how helping others makes you feel good like nothing else. Not to forget how it balances your karma and dharma account in the Wheel of Samsara stopping you from going around and around, but raising you to the next level.

Like Hepburn said, “there is no feeling like when you do good and caring for others”.

It is all holistic - it´s all connected in the Realm. You begin with what you consume, both the foods you eat and what you watch and read. Disconnect you from all the media lies and fake messages put there by the owners - the Industries. Forget about politicians and the News anchors - and the show they put on. It is all a distraction to keep you trapped and in a state of fear to control you and steal your money to keep you locked in Babylon.

Pay attention to what matters. Make good use of the hours you save, by not watching the talking heads on TV and the dumb down TV showns, to do some volunteer work at a dog kennel. Or visit residens at an elderly home or become a mentor for less fortunate. Educate yourself in what you always wanted to learn in service for others, not for money and fame - but just because you want to do good and help other people and animals to a better life. Simply because you can.

Make your temple healthy and feeling good. You will see how much better you feel, if you disconnect from the fake meaningless out there World and focus on being a better version of you in service to others. Increase your internal vibrations by eating living vibrant plant based foods and evolve into the best version of you.

Or you can continue just the way you always do - it is all up to you. It is time for you to jump aboard - because the World is changing and the time is now.

Thanks for reading.
